Mike got his professional start in television while in college at Indiana State University. He worked as a cameraman at WTHI-TV in Terre Haute, and would occasionally appear on-camera in light or humorous roles. After graduating, Mike moved to Palm Springs, California to become an advertising sales executive and help launch the desert’s first CBS affiliate. Shortly after his arrival, he moved in front of the camera, as the entertainment and features reporter. He was dubbed “Special Correspondent” for his comedic coverage and commentaries. Mike is known for his funny, conversational, and sarcastic style and his ability to insert humorous characters and voices on the fly.
